About Us

It´s funny how you never know how the jobs you choose and the people you meet can lead to a business you love. David Gray started his venture into the produce business as an agronomist, learning the ropes of the cantaloupe and honeydew business in farms in Central America, and later managing quality control for these fruits in the ports of Miami and Tampa. One thing led to the next and before he could remember he´d acquired experience in the retail business as produce buyer for an important grocery chain, importing fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables from all over the world. Which led to David later processing said fruits and vegetables, turning them into ice creams and ice pops, which, as life would have it, led to Ecuador…

He´ll be the first one to tell you- if you´re into tropical and exotic fruits, amazing cacao and chocolates, beautiful and vibrant flowers… Ecuador is the place to be. Exports of these tropical treasures ensued.

However, there was always one thing that wasn´t quite right. Middlemen. When you value the work that goes into growing, packing and shipping quality flowers and fruits it seems unfair that having to go through brokers and distributors ironically results in loss of freshness and increase in price.

So fast forward to today and what once was the dream of connecting the wonders of Ecuador to direct consumers in the United States and Canada is now a reality.

With farms in Ecuador and a warehouse in Miami, Game Tropicals is able to ship exotic fruits and fresh flowers direct from farm to consumer. Need a single bunch of roses? How about a 40- foot container of yellow and red dragon fruit? We got you!
